Our measurement and diagnostics services cover three key areas:
1.  Thermal Stress Measurement
Thermal Stress Measurement typically supports power plant performance testing, gas and steam turbine performance testing, fired and recovery steam generator testing, compressor performance testing, plant performance monitoring and diagnostics, and air‑flow component testing.

2.  Mechanical Testing
Mechanical Testing focuses on vibration measurement and analysis, torque and torsional vibration analysis, strain gauge measurements, reciprocating compressor diagnostics, and Experimental Modal Analysis (EMA/OMA/ODS).

3. Residual Stress Measurement.
Residual Stress Measurement includes proven approaches such as X‑ray diffraction, hole drilling, ring coring, contour methods, and Mechanical Strain Release (MSR) techniques like sectioning, layering, and slitting.

Our products in the field of Residual Stresses and Cultural Heritage Conservation

  • MTS3000 – RESTAN: Automatic system for measuring residual stresses using the hole drilling method, in accordance with ASTM E837.
  • MTS3000 – Ring Core: Automatic system for measuring residual stresses in metallic materials using the ring coring semi‑destructive technique.
  • DRMS Cordless: Automatic system for measuring drilling resistance of natural stones, rocks, and mortars—commonly used in cultural heritage and conservation applications.

The Key features of the MTS3000 – Restan system:

  • High‑speed drilling technology (350,000–400,000 rpm) using a compressed‑air turbine or electric motor
  • Simple, fast, and automated operation for efficient field and lab work
  • Integrated inspection management and data processing through dedicated software
  • Automatic detection of drilling start point using electrical contact

The main features of the MTS3000 – Ring Core are:

  • Automated feed motion control via stepper motor for consistent drilling
  • Digital camera and laser beams for accurate positioning at the center of the strain gauge
  • Hollow shaft with strain gauge rosette quick‑installation tool for faster setup
  • Dedicated software suite: measurement control (RSM‑RC) and residual stress back‑calculation (EVAL‑RC)

The main features of the DRMS Cordless are:

  • Real‑time force vs penetration depth graph with customizable filtering
    • Butterworth filters
    • Moving average filters
  • Embedded database to build a custom repository of materials, holes, and drill bit
  • Automatic drill‑bit wear correction for more consistent field measurements
