The CE Mark on fertilizers indicates that the products can be freely sold in Europe and candidate countries and that they comply with the minimum requirements for safety, health, and environmental protection.
TÜV Austria Hellas Ltd (Designated Body No. 0906) in Greece, which holds the authority to manage the conformity assessment procedure for plant fertilizing products according to the EU regulation (EU 2019/1009). Under the framework of FPR, we provide services to manufacturers with products falling within the scope of the regulation, across all modules of the FPR Regulation:
• In Module B
• In Module A1
• In Module D1.
Scope: Applies to Fertilizers, Liming materials, Plant biostimulants, Soil improvers, and Growing media.
Certification Procedure:
- Application Submission: Submit an application with product details and supporting technical documentation.
- Laboratory Testing: Product samples are tested at TABE-approved laboratories for parameters such as heavy metals, nutrient content, pH, and other technical criteria.
- Technical File Preparation: Compile a technical file including test results, safety data sheets (SDS), and product composition.
- Notified Body Review: TUV AUSTRIA evaluates the technical file to ensure compliance with FPR standards.
- Factory Audit (if applicable): Verification of production processes for consistent compliance.
- Issuance of CE Mark Certificate: Once compliance is confirmed, CE Marking certification is issued.
