Solution: Certificate of Conformity for Exports to Iraq
Iraq Verification of Conformity (VOC) Program – TUV AUSTRIA Appointed by COSQC.
Iraq Certificate of Conformity (COC) Requirements:
• Exporter is a Manufacturer of the products being shipped to Iraq or a trader that can document a strong link with the Manufacturer, such as brand owner, exclusive representative, official dealer, and manufacturer’s trading house.
• List of current range of products to be taking into consideration for the Green Channel Scheme.
• Existence of a valid Quality Management System (QMS) such as ISO 9001, ISO 22000, ISO 14001, ISO 18001 etc.
• They have internal lab facilities at the production site or access to manufacturer’s internal lab reports in case they are not the producer: In-house test reports shall be available for each product and per batch if applicable and shall be produced upon request and we accept non-ISO 17025 accredited in-house laboratories.
Exporters are required to submit the following minimum set of documents to initiate the processing of the Certificate of Conformity (COC) application:
• Pro-forma invoice
• Packing list
• Test reports if available
• Request for Certification (RFC)
The client shall be requested to fill in and submit a signed RFC (Request for Certification).
The following scope of work applies for the first shipment :
• Physical inspection
• Sampling and analysis according to sampling plan
• Test Report from ISO 17025 Accredited Laboratory or In house test report to be provided for all goods in the shipment
Applicable standards : Iraqi standards or international standards (as approved by
COSQC).
Geography : Republic of Iraq excluding Iraqi Kurdistan
The conformity assessment is based on:
- The inspection results: goods subject to conformity assessment must have been seen as per sampling plan and must comply with the shipping documents and the standard parameters for the visual part.
- The Test results: all tested goods must essentially comply with the parameters and the
limits set in the standards.
